Payroll Associate / Accounting

Meador an Openwork Company is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Associate / Accounting professional for a 4–5 month temporary assignment in Pasadena. This position is responsible for accurately entering, reconciling, and reporting payroll-related accounting information. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting experience, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to handle confidential payroll information with a high level of accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily reconciliation of the payroll bank account
• Prepare and post weekly payroll job cost journal entries
• Prepare and post weekly payroll-related journal entries
• Prepare weekly overhead hours reports
• Prepare and post monthly commission and bonus entries
• Reconcile payroll-related balance sheet accounts monthly
• Review payroll information for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain accurate and confidential payroll and accounting records
• Support additional accounting and payroll duties as needed

Qualifications

• Accounting Certificate or 3+ years of direct accounting experience
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
• Experience with Pivot Tables and XLOOKUPS
• Experience with reconciliations and journal entries
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work with confidential information
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
