Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Payroll Associate.

In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for processing the weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payroll. This will also include retro and vacation payments as well as answering Customer Service tickets.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly, bi-weekly, monthly and off cycle pay runs.Upload spreadsheets and files to the PeopleSoft System in a timely manner and prior to payroll run days. Ensure retro payments are made timely and accurately
  • Maintains confidentiality of employee information
  • Respects and maintains confidentiality of all information within NYU Langone Medical Center.
  • Communicates clearly and concisely with customers in a professional and timely manner.Demonstrates creative thinking when seeking alternative solutions to process challenges and issues.
  • Efficiently organizes and manages tasks/projects.Assists in fostering a partnership between Payroll and its customers to improve customer relations, service and process.
  • Assist the Payroll Operations Supervisor in monitoring, updating and enforcing Payroll policies and procedures. Participates in evaluation and redesign, as necessary, of internal processes.
  • Promote staff development through demonstrating motivation, support to other personnel and providing an atmosphere of integrity and trust.
  • Special projects as assigned.
  • Scanning and online filing of all daily work and ensure it is saved correctly on P Drive. Keep supervisor apprised of all problems.
  • Look for patterns and trends in these tickets and discuss findings with SupervisorPrepare monthly metrics for your area.
  • Ensure vacation payouts are processed timely.Answer questions via automated customer service tickets.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a High School graduate with some college courses preferred
Have the ability to operate a calculator PC copier and fax machine
Working knowledge of Word and Excel
2 years of Finance experience preferably in a health care environment

Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or its equivalency and a minimum of two four (2 4) years of related experience. FPC or CPP certification would be a plus.

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $50,204.70 - $62,328.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
