    Job Title: Mid level andSenior Payroll Coordinator

    Location: New York, NY 10019

    Salary/Payrate:  Mid Level - $95-100K and Senior Level - $100K to $110K annually and AWESOME benefits!!!

    Work Environment: Hybrid (#1 of days WFH)

    Term: Permanent / Fulltime

    Mid Level 2-3 years of experience in timekeeping, payroll, or related HR/payroll administration - $95-$100K


    Senior Level must have 5+ years of experience in timekeeping, payroll, or related HR/payroll administration - $100-$110K

     

    Job Description:

    Our client, an AmLaw 100 firm, is looking to hire a Senior Payroll Coordinator at their offices in midtown New York City, 10019. The role will allow for remote work one day a week.

     

    The Senior Payroll Coordinator will be assisting with the review and reconciliation of the payroll withholding taxes and other various account analyses, special projects as well as assisting with the audit of the weekly overtime in PWTMS system.

     

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

     

    • Work with the Payroll Supervisor on auditing and finalizing the semimonthly payroll.
    • Review and correct daily time and attendance entries to ensure accuracy and compliance. Reconcile weekly timesheets, resolving discrepancies in hours worked, overtime, and paid time off.
    • Collaborate with managers and supervisors to resolve timekeeping issues promptly. Upload and validate employee hours into ADP EV6 to support payroll processing.
    • Respond promptly and professionally to employee inquiries through the payroll inbox.
    • Review and process employees address changes in ADP and conduct quarterly address health checks to ensure proper state and local tax set up.
    • Perform payroll tax reconciliations for each pay period and assist with quarterly 941 reconciliations to ensure alignment between payroll records and filings.
    • Assist the payroll team with coordinating the preparation of year-end payroll reports and W-2s. Verify the accuracy of the annual W-2 preview and the Final Wage and Tax Registers.
    • Assist the payroll team with the New York State, Workers' Compensation, Pension and Year-End Audits.
    • Assist the payroll team with the disbursement of payroll checks including coordinating with employees to confirm delivery preferences and mailing details.
    • Provide general administrative support to the payroll team and assist with additional projects or tasks as assigned.

     

     

    Skills, Experience, Education, and Other Job-Related Requirements

     

    • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
    • Experience with ADP EV5 or EV6 or similar systems strongly preferred.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Prior experience in a law firm or professional services environment is helpful but not required.
    • Demonstrates the ability to quickly learn and apply a detailed understanding of the firm’s policies and procedures.
    • Able to meet critical deadlines.
    • Strong communication and organizational skills.
    • Familiarity with Federal and State wage-hour rules is a plus.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word and other reporting tools. Familiarity with ADP payroll systems.
    • Report writing skills are a plus.
