Position Overview
The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for supporting payroll operations, ensuring accurate timekeeping and payroll processing, and serving as the primary liaison between employees and the Payroll department. This role focuses on payroll reconciliation, issue resolution, employee support, and maintaining compliance with payroll policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and reconcile employee timesheets.
- Support payroll preparation and processing activities.
- Serve as the Facility Payroll Ambassador and primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries.
- Investigate and resolve payroll and timekeeping discrepancies.
- Utilize payroll systems, reporting tools, company policies, and ServiceNow to address payroll issues.
- Escalate complex payroll matters to appropriate payroll teams when necessary.
- Assist employees with ESS (Employee Self-Service) and MSS (Manager Self-Service) systems.
- Collaborate with Payroll and Human Resources teams to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
- Provide backup support for the Payroll Shared Services Call Center.
- Maintain knowledge of payroll regulations, policies, and system updates.
- Participate in special projects and administrative support activities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of payroll processing experience
- Experience with:
- Payroll processing
- Garnishments
- Payroll taxes
- Year-end payroll activities
- Experience using payroll and HRIS systems
- Strong customer service and employee support skills
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage confidential payroll information with discretion and accuracy
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation
- Experience with payroll reporting and analytics tools
- ServiceNow experience preferred
