Alamo's Payroll Coordinator supports the accurate execution of weekly and bi-weekly payroll across our multi-unit operations. This hands-on role ensures timely employee wage payments, resolves payroll discrepancies, maintains accurate system data, prepares regular reports, and conducts audits to keep operations running seamlessly.

This role follows a fixed hybrid schedule, requiring two designated in‑office days per week at our Austin location and three remote workdays.
CORE ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Payroll Processing: Assist in preparing and submitting weekly and bi-weekly payroll runs
Data Entry: Review weekly time cards, track adjustments, and process variable inputs including termination payouts
Vendor Coordination: Partner with our third-party vendor to manage garnishment executions, settle payments, and handle the check register
Reporting & Auditing: Generate wage, tax, and deduction reports while importing operational data from third-party tracking systems
Internal Teammate Support: Serve as a knowledgeable, empathetic point of contact to promptly investigate and resolve payroll questions and discrepancies
Compliance & Values: Maintain total data confidentiality and uphold company operational guidelines, code of conduct, and core values
Performs other duties and tasks, as required
QUALIFICATIONS
1-3 years of general work experience in hospitality, retail, or customer service
1 - 3 years of experience in HR/People a plus
1 - 3 years hands-on payroll experience a plus
Experience utilizing Workday a plus
Experience working within a multi-unit company supporting a diverse, hourly workforce
Solid understanding of Google Suite
Possesses strong organizational and time management skills
Strong attention to detail
A teammate first mindset with dedication to internal customer service and company culture
Strong verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with peers, management, teammates, and vendors
A roll up your sleeves and dive in approach with willingness to assist other functions as needed to achieve or exceed department and company business objectives
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
