Nucor Steel Jackson, Inc. is seeking a Payroll Coordinator based in Flowood, MS, to manage full-cycle payroll and tax operations for approximately 300 team members. Key requirements include at least two years of hands-on payroll processing experience, proficiency in intermediate Excel, and an Associate degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience.
Compensation and Benefits
Pay Grade: Hourly + ROA (Grade 13)

Key Responsibilities
Payroll Processing & Taxes: Execute weekly payroll, production bonuses, garnishments, deductions, and adjustments, while preparing, filing, and reconciling federal and state tax returns and W-2s
Reporting & Reconciliation: Complete month-, quarter-, and year-end payroll activities, resolve payroll discrepancies, and prepare detailed reconciliations and reports for Accounting
Program Support & Records: Maintain required confidential records and assist with company-sponsored programs such as service awards, scholarships, and educational reimbursements

Requirements and Qualifications
Education & Certifications: Associate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field (or equivalent experience); Bachelor's degree and payroll certifications (FPC or CPP) preferred
Payroll & Tax Expertise: 3+ years of relevant payroll/HR operations experience, including 2+ years of hands-on payroll processing, federal/state tax filings, and year-end activities (W-2 preparation)
Technical Skills: Intermediate Excel proficiency (formulas, lookups, pivot tables, data reconciliation); experience with SAP Payroll or SAP SuccessFactors is preferred
Professional Standards: Strong communication skills, strict adherence to confidentiality, deadline management, and compliance with Nucor’s safety, housekeeping, and personal relationship policy standards
