Description:
CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for a detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator to support payroll and timekeeping operations during a plant start-up. This position is responsible for ensuring employee time and attendance records are accurately maintained within the timekeeping system to support timely and accurate payroll processing.
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and capable of managing sensitive information while meeting strict deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Pay Rate: Based on experience
Work Hours: M–F, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Education: Associate's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred, Bachelor's degree preferred
This position is located within an ITAR-controlled facility. Candidates must be compliant with U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements and must be U.S. citizens or U.S. nationals.
Requirements:
- Accurately input, maintain, and update employee time and attendance records in the timekeeping system
- Verify timesheets for accuracy and resolve discrepancies with employees, supervisors, and HR
- Ensure compliance with company payroll policies, procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations
- Coordinate with Human Resources and management to maintain accurate employee records
- Obtain weekly time approvals in accordance with payroll processing deadlines
- Partner with payroll operations to resolve timekeeping and payroll discrepancies
- Generate reports related to employee hours, overtime, attendance, and payroll data
- Prioritize daily responsibilities while supporting ongoing projects and departmental initiatives
- Support end-to-end timekeeping operations and maintain process documentation
- Handle confidential employee information with professionalism and discretion
- Contribute to process improvements, standardization efforts, and overall team efficiency
- Communicate effectively with employees and cross-functional teams across multiple locations and time zones
Qualifications
- Experience with payroll or time and attendance systems
- Knowledge of payroll processing, timekeeping procedures, and applicable labor laws
- Experience with Kronos/UKG Workforce Central, Pro Workforce Management, or similar timekeeping systems preferred
- Strong attention to detail with excellent data entry accuracy
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting strict deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Customer service experience is a plus but not required
- Ability to process and analyze large volumes of data while understanding business impacts
- Must be able to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information
