Job Title: Payroll Coordinator I
Location: Saginaw, MI
Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Saginaw, MI

Pay Rate: $22.00 - $23.50/hr
Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm

Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered.

 

This is an ITAR facility. Candidates must be compliant with DOD/ITAR requirements and be US citizens or nationals.

 

CTG’s long-standing Fortune 500 client is seeking a Payroll Coordinator I to support payroll and timekeeping operations during a plant start-up initiative in Saginaw, MI. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong Excel and Kronos experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update employee time and attendance records in Kronos
  • Verify timesheets and resolve payroll discrepancies
  • Coordinate with HR, payroll operations, and management teams
  • Generate payroll and attendance reports, including overtime tracking
  • Ensure compliance with payroll procedures and applicable labor laws
  • Support weekly payroll approval processes and deadlines
  • Maintain confidential payroll documentation and records

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience with payroll or timekeeping systems, preferably Kronos/UKG Workforce Central
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables
  • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Tech-savvy with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Manufacturing or plant environment experience is a plus
