Job Title: Payroll & Human Resource Specialist
Location: Vernon, CA (Onsite)

About the Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll & Human Resource Specialist to join their team. This role will be responsible for processing high-volume, multi-state payroll for 500+ employees while also supporting HR initiatives, including onboarding, employee relations, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process end-to-end, multi-state payroll for 500+ employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Manage payroll audits, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Maintain and update payroll records, tax documents, and employee data
  • Partner with the HR Manager to support onboarding, new hire documentation, and orientation processes
  • Assist with employee relations matters, including responding to employee inquiries and supporting issue resolution
  • Develop, document, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for payroll and HR processes
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and labor laws, particularly in a manufacturing environment
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, finance, and leadership teams
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of payroll experience, including multi-state payroll processing for high-volume employee populations (500+)
  • Experience supporting HR functions such as onboarding and employee relations
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
  • Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and labor compliance
  • Experience creating and improving SOPs and process documentation
  • Proficiency with payroll systems (ADP, Paycom, UKG, etc.) and strong Excel skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Preferred:
  • Experience in food manufacturing or similar high-volume environments
  • CPP certification or HR certification is a plus
Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
