Project Background
Heidelberg Materials operates today with two HCM platforms: Workday and JD Edwards (JDE). While Workday serves as the primary HCM platform, JDE remains in place to support payroll processing and acts as the source system for numerous HR, Benefit, Retirement and payroll-related integrations and downstream interfaces.
As part of Project PROPEL, Heidelberg Materials is implementing ADP Lyric Payroll for the United States and Canada and retiring JDE Payroll. This transformation will eliminate the need for a dual-HCM landscape by fully transitioning payroll administration from JDE to ADP and establishing Workday as the single system of record for employee data and workforce transactions.
The implementation will require the redesign and transition of existing JDE integrations and interfaces to Workday and ADP, including connections with UKG, SAP, HCSS, TMW, and other operational systems and vendors.
The selected partner will provide client-side advisory, project governance, and payroll transformation expertise to support implementation readiness, solution design validation, integration strategy, risk management, testing, and successful deployment.
