About the Role

The Payroll Implementation Consultant takes Arcoro Payroll customers from signed agreement to an accurate first payroll run and a confident go-live. As Arcoro takes ownership of payroll setup from our partner Check, this is one of the first dedicated roles built to carry that work, so your customers will feel the difference a construction-focused team makes.

This is a growth role in a growing business line. Payroll is a meaningful part of Arcoro's plan, and the team is still early enough that you will help shape how we implement it. You will learn directly from our Payroll Implementation Team Lead, take on more complex customers as your skills build, and have a real hand in the tools, methodology, and training the team relies on as we scale.

What You'll Do

Implementation Delivery

• Own a portfolio of payroll implementations from kickoff through go-live and the first payroll runs
• Lead setup and data conversion for customers moving from a previous provider, with increasing ownership of complex cases as you ramp
• Guide customers through payroll setup, validation, and mirrored or parallel payroll to ensure accurate first runs
• Deliver consultative training so administrators can run payroll, reports, and year-end tasks on their own
• Follow Arcoro's implementation methodology, complexity tiers, and timelines, and flag early when a customer needs more time or support
• Learn and apply construction-specific payroll needs such as certified payroll, prevailing wage, and union fringe requirements
• Collaborate closely with Arcoro Time and HR implementation consultants on shared customers, aligning timelines and data so payroll, time tracking, and HR go live as one connected solution
• Coordinate with our partner Check during the transition period to resolve implementation issues and escalations
• Keep customers informed, monitor health during implementation, and raise risk early

Learning and Contribution

• Take part in coaching, shadowing, and training sessions, and apply what you learn on live implementations
• Track your hours by implementation and share what you learn, so estimates, capacity planning, and launch calendars stay accurate
• Capture lessons learned, gaps, and improvement ideas to strengthen the playbook and training
• Share product feedback from customers with Product and Support
• Partner with Sales and the wider Customer Experience team on smooth handoffs and accurate expectations

• Payroll implementations delivered on schedule and accurate on the first payroll run
• A steady increase in the complexity and size of your portfolio as you ramp
• Progress toward FPC certification and a growing depth of payroll expertise
• High customer satisfaction, adoption, and retention through go-live
• Clear, timely status updates and hours tracking that help the team plan capacity
• Ideas and lessons from your implementations that make the playbook, training, or tools better

What We're Looking For

• Payroll experience in implementation, processing, or customer-facing payroll support, and strong payroll fundamentals

• Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC), or a commitment to earn it with Arcoro's support

• Curiosity, a coachable mindset, and a real interest in building a career in payroll implementation

• Strong communication and customer relationship skills, including guiding customers through data collection and validation

• Excellent organization and prioritization, with the ability to manage several implementations at once

• Dependable, proactive, and detail oriented, with comfort working through change in a growing business line

• Familiarity with SaaS or HCM platforms and payroll data migration (preferred)

• Familiarity with construction payroll needs such as certified payroll, prevailing wage, and union fringe (preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 1 to 3 years of payroll implementation, onboarding, or customer-facing payroll experience
• Experience with payroll migrations from a previous provider
• Experience collaborating with Sales, Product, and Support teams
