The Payroll Manager is responsible for overseeing managing the entire payroll function for the organization. This role includes ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and driving continuous improvement of payroll processes. The Payroll Manager will lead a team of payroll professionals, provide strategic direction, and work closely with HR and Finance departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.

This position reports to the Payroll Director and is part of the Human Resources Operations team located in Brea, CA as a fully on-site role. 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Manage and oversee the payroll team, providing leadership, guidance, and development to ensure efficient and accurate payroll processing.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain payroll policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

  • Conduct regular audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll data and systems.

  • Lead payroll system upgrades, testing, and troubleshooting, and recommend improvements as needed.

  • Monitor and analyze payroll metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field with 9+ years experience OR Master's degree in field with 7+ years experience, with at least 3+ years in a managerial role

  • Experience in payroll processing

  • High comprehensive understanding of payroll practices, laws, and regulations.

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively.

  • Extensive experience with ADP, eTime and Workday.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in or have:

  • System conversions

  • CPP Certificate

The annual salary range for this role is $114,000.00 – $121,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
 

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.

We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
