This role requires the Payroll Manager to be a Certified Payroll Professional and is hybrid, once a week on-site./ph3Responsibilities of the Payroll Manager Position/h3ulliLead the process of timely and accurate weekly, biweekly, and monthly multi-state, non-union, and union payrolls for company subsidiaries/liliCoach and develop a team of 3-4 payroll administrators/liliAnalyze payrolls and transmitting payroll files to ADP on weekly/biweekly basis/liliAdhering to payroll best practices, guidelines, and procedures/liliSuggest automation and improvement on payroll related processes/liliSupport timekeeping (Oracle Time and Labor) and payroll systems/liliLead the processing of payroll changes (e.g., new hires, terminations, raises)/liliProvide oversight to manual checks and wires/liliBe the integral part during conversions and acquisitions/liliEnsure compliance with relevant federal, state, and local laws/liliCoordinate with auditors on SOX, internal, and external audits/liliLead testing on new system upgrades, new calculation set ups, projects, and data analyses/liliWork with HR and accounting teams to reconcile discrepancies/liliKeep current accurate records and preparing reports for audits/liliSolve issues and answering payroll-related questions/liliBring awareness to complex questions to Payroll Director/liliLead Workers Compensation and Multiple Work Site location reports on a quarterly basis/liliCoordinate SUI rates, updating and resolving ADP charges to invoices for accuracy/liliAssist to resolve any tax variances presented by the payroll tax accountant/liliCoordinate quarter and year end activities/li/ulh3Requirements of the Payroll Manager Position/h3ulliProven 3+ years of experience as a payroll manager processing over 5000+ employees/liliMultistate payroll experience is required/liliCPP, Certified Payroll Professional credentials are required/liliCurrent knowledge of labor, payroll procedures and related tax laws/liliUnderstanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations and union contracts/liliKnowledge with payroll software ADP Vantage or WFN, ADPR reporting/liliExperience in system implementations/liliProven organizational and team leadership development experience/liliAble to work with others, cross-functionally and build relationships/liliStrong interpersonal, customer service and communication skills/liliBSC/BA in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources or related/liliAdvanced Microsoft Excel and analytical skills/liliAbility to multi-task and prioritize tasks and projects effectively/li/ulpUpdated resume is required for consideration.
