Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee and manage full-cycle payroll operations for a multi-state workforce of over 500 employees. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining compliance with applicable regulations, and leading payroll staff and processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage payroll operations, including oversight of payroll systems and staff
• Process bi-monthly, multi-state payroll for 500+ employees
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
• Administer garnishments, deductions, and benefit-related payroll items
• Prepare and reconcile 401(k) and ROTH contribution reports
• Generate and analyze reports related to overtime, commissions, and staffing
• Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and documentation
• Train and support managers on payroll-related processes and best practices
• Assist with internal and external audits
• Partner with HR and Accounting teams to ensure accuracy and alignment

Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll experience (multi-state experience preferred)
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience
• Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
• Strong communication skills
• Exposure to HR processes is a plus
• Solid working knowledge of payroll systems; deep technical expertise not required

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000

Position Details

• Employment Type: Direct Hire
• Schedule: Full-time (~8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
