Description

  • Manages the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy and timely payment to all employees and remittance of deductions and company payments to various agencies (government, Union, etc.).
  • Ensures accuracy of W-2 and BU allocations.
  • Ensures payroll practices comply with federal, state, and local laws, which may involve researching regulations.
  • Manages internal and external customer, vendor and auditor relationships.
  • Reviews and analyzes payroll, benefits and tax procedures to find opportunities for improvement and efficiency.
  • Reviews payroll accounts and resolves payroll discrepancies.
  • Documents payroll procedures and updates as necessary.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Manages employees by mentoring, coaching, providing feedback and assessing performance.
  • Understands JDE system and payroll processing system, and troubleshoots technical issues.
  • Develops and improves controls around payroll processing.
  • Reviews payroll inbox and either action or assign email.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
