Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Payroll Manager to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $102,000 to $105,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve asthe Primary Payroll Administrator for payroll systems and oversee related tasks.
  • Manage and process bi-weekly payroll accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Administer automatic deposit requests, maintain payroll records, and prepare required reports.
  • Conduct bi-weekly audits to ensure accurate interpretation of pay practices and contracts, partnering with HR as needed.
  • Supervise Payroll Assistants or temporary payroll help, providing guidance and support.
Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree or possess an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • A minimum of 4+ years of payroll processing experience, preferably with outside vendors like Paycom or ADP.
  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with knowledge of payroll tax laws, regulations, and controls.
  • Show reliability, strong organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrate at least 5+ years of leadership experience, including staff supervision, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Possess exceptional attention to detail, accountability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Maintain the highest integrity and ensure confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
  • Exhibit excellent customer service skills with an employee-focused mindset.
  • Preferably hold a current Certified Payroll Professional certification and a proven track record managing a payroll base of 400+ employees.
