Job Description
The Payroll Processor (Expatriate Payroll) is responsible for coordinating and processing payroll activities for expatriate employees across multiple countries. This role ensures accurate calculations of international compensation packages, tax equalization, mobility allowances, and compliance with global payroll regulations. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience working with cross border compensation and vendor partners.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Processing
Process expatriate payroll cycles accurately and timely for assigned countries.
Calculate complex expatriate compensation components, including:
Cost of living allowances (COLA)
Housing allowances
Hardship premiums
Tax equalization and hypothetical tax
Coordinate with in country payroll vendors to validate payroll inputs and outputs.
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure compliance with local payroll legislation, company policies, and global mobility tax requirements.
Prepare and review payroll reports, reconciliations, and audit documentation.
Maintain accurate records for compensation, benefits, and international assignment details.
Cross Functional Collaboration
Work closely with HR, Global Mobility, Tax, and Finance teams to support expatriate assignments.
Partner with external tax advisors to ensure proper reporting and taxation.
Communicate with expatriate employees regarding compensation questions, payroll inquiries, and assignment-related pay items.
