Job Description

Job Summary:

The US Payroll II is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees

within the United States, maintaining strict compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws. This role

requires deep expertise in US payroll regulations and hands-on experience with SAP HCM (PY module) or

SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP), focusing on complex tax calculations, reporting, and

statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

End-to-End Processing: Manage full-cycle US payroll using SAP ECC, including regular salaries,

overtime, bonuses, commissions, and variable pay.

Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to FLSA regulations, FICA (Social Security and Medicare),

and federal, state, and local tax withholding requirements.

Reconciliation: Maintain and reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts and validate the

accuracy of SAP payroll results.

Data Validation: Review and validate payroll inputs, including new hire setups, terminations,

compensation changes, and leaves of absence.

Vendor Management: Review and audit outputs provided by outsourced payroll vendors to

Ensure data integrity.

Reporting & Tax Filings: Generate payroll reports and manage statutory requirements, including

W-2 oversight and year-end tax processing.

Employee Support: Act as the primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries, resolving

issues professionally and promptly.

Audit Support: Provide documentation and reporting for internal/external audits and 401(k)

compliance reviews.

Time & Attendance Management: Coordinate and validate time and attendance system inputs,

ensuring accurate processing of working hours and overtime.

Off-Cycle & Final Settlements: Process Off-cycle payroll, payroll adjustments and final

settlement as per state compliance.

Process Documentation: Maintain and update payroll SOP, process documentation to ensure

process consistency and knowledge retention.

Legislative Monitoring: Stay current on changes to US labor and tax laws, updating internal

SAP processes to reflect new regulations.

System Improvements: Participate in SAP system testing, enhancements, and continuous

process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.

Experience:

5+ years of US payroll processing experience.

3+ years of hands-on experience with SAP HCM ECC (PY) or SuccessFactors Employee Central

Payroll (ECP).

Experience managing multi-state payroll and complex tax jurisdictions.

Skills:

In-depth knowledge of US Payroll laws and regulations.

SAP payroll hands-on processing experience.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in Excel and payroll reporting.

Good communication skills, English proficiency preferred (especially in multinational

environments).

Respond to payroll inquiries via the ticketing system

Proven ability to work under payroll timeline and aggressive deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with third-party payroll providers (e.g., ADP, Employee Central, SAP).

Familiarity with time and attendance systems (SAP CATS).

Knowledge of global payroll operations or shared services models is a plus.
