Overview
Global Medical Device Company is seeking a Payroll Representative to join their team!

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all U.S. associates' payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely processing in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and company policies.
  • Manage and oversee all Canada associates' payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely processing in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and company policies.
  • Lead the processing of complex and high-visibility transactions for Canada Payroll, including multi-state adjustments, bonus taxation, retroactive adjustments, and year-end tax reconciliations.
  • Ensure recurring payroll assignments are handled on a timely basis and contribute to special cross-functional projects addressing unique payroll challenges.
  • Prepare and distribute reports, statements, and summaries of payroll activities.
  • Address employee and management inquiries regarding payroll issues.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including tax and people operations, on global mobility and business activities to coordinate payroll needs.
  • Manage internal and external payroll audits to ensure data integrity.
  • Oversee system implementations, integrations, acquisitions, and payroll projects.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies using the Bullhorn system.
  • Help maintain standard operating procedures and assist with payroll reconciliations.
  • Serve as a payroll subject matter expert and resource for other personnel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and one year of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience managing payroll for exempt and non-exempt workforce and managing time clock systems.
  • At least 2+ years of ADP Workforce Now experience required.
  • Bullhorn timekeeping system or similar experience required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail, numerical aptitude, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with associates at all levels.
  • Working knowledge of relevant legal regulations including FLSA, wage and hour laws, and tax withholding requirements.
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and handle confidential information with integrity.
  • In-depth understanding of payroll processes, compliance, and related regulations.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Expertise in federal and state tax withholding, garnishment procedures, and payroll accounting related to the general ledger.
