A well-established private educational institution in Union County is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to manage payroll operations and support HR during a temporary coverage period. This role requires strong payroll system experience, discretion, and the ability to work independently in a professional office environment.
Process monthly payroll for salaried employees using ADP Workforce Now
Process bi-weekly payroll for seasonal and non-union staff
Manage stipends and overtime payments across various departments
Enter new hires, terminations, compensation changes, and payroll updates
Maintain and update employee benefit records
Assist with employment agreements and HR documentation
Support open enrollment activities and potential benefits transitions
Prepare and manage Excel-based payroll tracking schedules
Assist with special HR-related projects as needed
Required:
Direct experience with ADP Workforce Now
Experience processing payroll across multiple pay cycles
Strong Excel skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Preferred:
Prior experience in education or nonprofit environments
Exposure to benefits administration or open enrollment processes
