Who We Are Looking For

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for accurately processing payrolls for all employees, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

This is a hybrid position, reporting to the Annapolis, MD office.

What You Will Work On

Collect and verify timesheet data and payroll informationCalculate wages, overtime, deductions, bonuses, and commissionsProcess payroll through electronic systems and issue paymentsMaintain accurate payroll records and documentationEnsure compliance with tax laws and labor regulationsAddress employee inquiries and resolve payroll discrepanciesCollaborate with HR and Finance teams to update employee dataPrepare payroll reports for management and auditsStay current with changes in payroll legislation

What You Will Bring

2+ years of experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar roleStrong understanding of payroll procedures and tax regulationsProficiency in payroll software (DayForce preferred) and ExcelExcellent numerical and analytical skillsHigh level of confidentiality and integrityStrong communication and problem-solving abilitiesBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or HR preferredCPP certification is a plus
