Job Summary:

The Payroll Specialist is responsible of preparing and processing all payroll activities for corporate and clinical team members and ensuring the timely and accurate payment of employee wages. 

Responsibilities:
  • Process bi-weekly payrolls including off-cycles for 2000 + employees.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations, including tax obligations and labor laws.
  • Investigate and correct payroll discrepancies and errors, coordinate with HRIS/Payroll System as appropriate
  • Generate payroll and management reports as requested
  • Asist with Year-end payroll activities including W2 and 1099 processing and audits.
  • Work cross-functionally with other departments including accounting, finance, and operations
  • Help determine and communicate policies that support the organization’s needs
  • Review and signoff on time sheets, resolve discrepancies with field leaders as needed.
  • Assists with Audits of documents received and files documents into appropriate employee electronic files
  • Respond to employee and agency inquiries regarding payroll matters
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of payroll processing for both hourly and salaried employees.

Required or Specialized Skills:

  • Researches and responds to inquiries from team members, managers, and outside agencies and resolves issues that arise
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and highly sensitive personal information.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, quality work.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including use of formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis for payroll reporting and reconciliation

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with ADP systems preferred (ADP Lyric is and Workforce Manager are the HRIS/Payroll system in place)
