Payroll Specialist

Kforce has a client in Baltimore, MD that is seeking a Payroll Specialist.

Responsibilities:

• Process and support payroll for multiple employee groups across weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and off-cycle runs
• Audit payroll data, including timekeeping interfaces, deductions, tax withholdings, and garnishments
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, overpayments, and employee inquiries
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure accurate payroll processing
• Assist with payroll reporting, reconciliations, and analysis
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and identify process improvements
• Provide backup support for payroll functions as needed
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive payroll and employee information
• Support special projects and perform additional duties as assigned
