Payroll Specialist

The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing payroll, maintaining employee records, ensuring compliance with payroll regulations, and assisting with payroll reporting. Responsibilities

• Process weekly, biweekly, or semi-monthly payroll accurately and on time

• Review and verify employee timekeeping records

• Maintain payroll records and employee information

• Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations

• Respond to employee payroll questions and resolve discrepancies

  
  
• 
  

• Prepare payroll-related reports and reconciliations

  
  
• 
  

• Assist with year-end processing, including W-2 preparation

  
  
• 
  

• Coordinate with HR and Accounting departments on payroll matters

  
  
• 
  

• Support audits and provide payroll documentation as needed

  
  
• 
  

Qualifications

• 
  

• 2+ years of payroll processing experience

  
  
• 
  

• Knowledge of payroll laws, tax withholdings, and compliance requirements

  
  
• 
  

• Experience with payroll software such as ADP, Paychex, UKG, Workday, or similar systems

  
  
• 
  

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  
  
• 
  

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  
  
• 
  

• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

  
  
• 
  

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines

  
  
• 
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 
  

• CPP certification is a plus but not required

  
  
• 
  

• Experience processing multi-state payroll preferred

  
  
• 
  

• Background in accounting, HR, or finance preferred
