Payroll Specialist - Corporate Accounting

Under the general supervision of the Payroll Supervisor, the Payroll Specialist is responsible for accurately processing payroll transactions, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures. The Payroll Specialist handles payroll tasks, resolves pay issues, performs basic Excel calculations, and collaborates with customers while supporting Tampa General Hospital's mission. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Essential Functions:

• Process payroll transactions accurately and timely in accordance with established policies.
• Review and verify time and attendance data for completeness and accuracy.
• Respond to payroll inquiries from employees and departments, providing clear and professional assistance.
• Ensure confidentiality and security of payroll information at all times.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to resolve payroll-related issues.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Three (3) years' experience in payroll processing.
• Familiarity with UKG Dimensions and PeopleSoft.
• Experience with garnishments including Child Support, set up and remittance.
• Proficiency in basic data entry and spreadsheet applications is essential.
• Candidates must be able to perform effectively in a high-volume environment serving 15,000 team members, consistently meeting time-sensitive deadlines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
