✦ The Role

As a Payroll Specialist, you'll own the processing of a designated pay group and manage large volumes of data across a semi-monthly payroll cycle. Beyond core processing, you'll play a key role in payroll reporting, benefits program administration, and leave coordination — making this a well-rounded, high-impact position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.

• Process and maintain semi-monthly payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations
• 
  
• Update and assist managers with timesheet entries and navigate multi-tax payroll systems
• 
  
• Prepare and distribute detailed payroll reports to internal departments and auditors as needed
• 
  
• Maintain and administer employee benefits programs, advising staff on taxable vs. non-taxable components
• 
  
• Provide schedules for taxable benefit processing dates and amounts
• 
  
• Monitor and assist with leave administration including FMLA, STD, NYSPFL, and ADA reporting
• 
  
• Review and manage database files that generate job and pay adjustments
• 
  
• Support team members on collaborative projects and perform additional payroll duties as needed

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred

• Prior experience in a high-volume, multi-tax payroll environment
