The Payroll Specialist is primarily responsible for the day-to-day operations for one of the assigned Payrolls using the company's electronic payroll system including processing new hires, separations, and any payroll updates; processing any leave requests; and handling special projects for the Payroll Department.
What You"ll Do
Process new hires and input benefit enrollment data, salary increases, and separations.
Prepare paychecks and direct deposit transactions for employees.
Verify accuracy of Electronic Time Submission and paycheck calculation using UKG.
Process employee wage garnishments including Internal Revenue Service levies, Child Support Orders, and Chapter 13 deductions.
Manage paid and unpaid leaves of absence, including FMLA paperwork.
Create and process detailed payroll reports for management.
Analyze payroll processes and make recommendations to the Payroll Manager when needed.
Prepare and maintain payroll and employee files.
Other duties as assigned.
