As a Payroll Specialist at Bray Controls, you will play a pivotal role in managing payroll functions for our expanding U.S. team. Key Responsibilities:
- Process corporate payroll weekly and bi-weekly, ensuring accuracy.
- Maintain payroll records in compliance with record retention laws.
- Audit and reconcile files from UKG Ready each pay period and annually.
- Address payroll inquiries with professionalism and clarity.
- Track accrued time off per company policies.
- Manage wage garnishments, including child support and tax levies.
- Ensure payroll registration and state tax setup for out-of-state payrolls.
- Prepare and submit payroll reports for government agencies and internal stakeholders.
- Update and maintain employee information in the HRB system.
- Apply payroll actions in compliance with applicable laws.
- Drive continuous improvement in payroll and timekeeping processes.
- Document payroll practices and procedures for a payroll desk manual.
Qualifications and Core Competencies:
- Strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of federal and state payroll laws and garnishment regulations.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
- High level of independence and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Skills/Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 4 years of full-cycle payroll processing experience.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification required.
- Experience with UKG Ready highly preferred.
- Familiarity with special pays (commissions, bonuses) and multi-state payroll.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
