Primary Talent Partners has a 12 month contract opening for a Payroll Specialist to join a national life sciences company for an onsite position operating out of Brea, CA. 

Pay: $24.00/hr - $26.00/hr
Contract: 12 months, extensions likely, conversion possible
Type: W-2, cannot support C2C or provide visa sponsorship
Onsite: Onsite 5 days per week in Brea, CA

Responsibilities:
  • Enter and maintain payroll-related data in payroll and HR systems with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Review payroll information for completeness and identify discrepancies for resolution.
  • Provide administrative support to the Pay & Benefits team in payroll processing activities.
  • Assist with payroll documentation, record maintenance, and employee data updates.
  • Respond to routine payroll-related inquiries and escalate complex issues as appropriate.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; College degree in Accounting, Business, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of payroll, bookkeeping, or accounting experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, follow established procedures, and work effectively within a team environment.
