Key Responsibilities- Answer and triage phone calls as needed.
- Process payroll data using in-house software to produce payroll checks and reports.
- Monitor processing and fulfill printing output to successful completion as needed.
- Complete ongoing assigned training courses necessary to expand payroll and ConnectPay knowledge base.
- Manage assigned client base with complex payroll processing, taxes, ancillary services, workers comp, year-end processing, and other related concerns.
- Complete any special projects assigned by management.
Qualifications- Minimum of 3 years of payroll tax processing experience, or bachelor’s degree in accounting, math or related fields.
- Proficient understanding of payroll and payroll tax calculations and filings.
- Passion for numbers and math.
- Experience with payroll software.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to commute to the office every business day.
- Good technical skills with computers and printers.
- Able to work and function in a corporate setting.
- Proven experience in problem solving and attention to detail.
- Good at balancing personal troubleshooting and seeking guidance.
- Good critical thinking skills with the ability to evaluate a situation, identify potential next steps and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively in teams.
- Proven experience handling sensitive payroll and employee data with discretion.
CP Payroll believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of this role's hourly rate range is $23.15 - $26.80. The actual salary will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s education, training, experience, location, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, all CP Payroll team members receive equity and participate in an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance.
