Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team at Paydex Technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll processing and a strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for accurately processing payroll for our clients, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll for assigned clients accurately and on time
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
  • Respond to client inquiries and provide exceptional customer service
  • Maintain accurate employee records and payroll data
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports as needed
  • Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot and resolve any payroll issues
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in payroll laws and regulations
  • Assist with other HR-related tasks as needed

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and payroll software (ADP, Paychex, etc.)
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with multi-state payroll is a plus
