We’re partnering with a well-established construction organization seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone with construction payroll experience, particularly in a union environment, who has hands-on experience with certified payroll and enjoys working in a detailed, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  
• Process weekly payroll for union and non-union employees
• 
  
• Manage payroll from timekeeping through final processing
• 
  
• Prepare and submit certified payroll reports
• 
  
• Review employee timecards and resolve discrepancies
• 
  
• Interpret union agreements, wage rates, and benefit requirements
• 
  
• Ensure accurate calculation of wages, deductions, and benefits
• 
  
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, local, and union payroll requirements
• 
  
• Reconcile payroll and investigate discrepancies
• 
  
• Maintain accurate employee and payroll records
• 
  
• Respond to employee, project team, and union payroll questions
• 
  
• Assist with payroll reporting, audits, and year-end processes
• 
  

Qualifications

• 
  
• 2+ years of payroll experience
• 
  
• Construction payroll experience strongly preferred
• 
  
• Union payroll experience required
• 
  
• Certified payroll experience required
•
