Payroll Specialist

Full-Time
Location: Northampton, MA
Pay Rate: $24-25/hour

Position Description:
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for weekly review of electronic timesheet as well as bi-weekly processing of payroll for an agency of 2500+ employees. Additionally, this individual is responsible for answering employee questions, troubleshooting issues, and other payroll related duties.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Process information for new hires, terminations and status changes.
  • Review and process batches for bi-weekly payroll. Generate manual pay checks as needed.
  • Process pay changes, pay adjustments, as well as calculate retroactive payments.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Maintain payroll records and files.
  • Team builder, supporter, and player with integrity and loyalty. Dedication to serving the organization’s goals and mission.
  • Maintain acceptable attendance record.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Position Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of automated payroll procedures
  • Intermediate Excel Skills
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Experience with Datis HR Cloud a plus
  • 2+ years payroll or related experience
