Overview:
Join Thompson Hospitality as a Payroll Specialist and play a key role in delivering accurate, timely pay to employees. You’ll manage biweekly payroll processing with precision and compliance while serving as the main point of contact for managers and associates—resolving pay issues, issuing instant checks, and ensuring data integrity. This role also includes loading money card data, interpreting union contracts to support proper payroll practices, and partnering with the Payroll Manager to troubleshoot time clock issues. Responsibilities:
- Bi-weekly Payroll Processing: Handle all facets of payroll processing for specific pay groups, ensuring accurate and precise execution.
- Data Accuracy and Integrity: Ensure the correctness and consistency of payroll data to prevent errors.
- Issue Resolution: Address and resolve inquiries from Managers and Hourly Associates regarding pay-related concerns promptly and effectively.
- Instant Check Processing: Manage instant payroll checks to rectify any discrepancies, if necessary.
- Reconcile Payroll Data: Reconcile pre confirm and post confirm payroll data.
- Time Clock Support: Assist in assigning time clocks to the employees.
- Mathematical Calculations: Ability to calculate pay rate adjustments based on factors such as time off, overtime, etc
Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience/education.
- Minimum 2 years of payroll experience or experience in related fields like accounting, HR, etc.
- Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of UltiPro is not mandatory but preferred.
