Position Summary:Responsible for assisting the Payroll Manager with the delivery of services relating to Payroll Processing for all units served, which includes the daily functions of system maintenance and security, data integrity, enhancements/continuous improvement, etc. Also includes periodic management reporting of key metrics such as Transactional Cost, Efficiency and Effectiveness Metrics, etc.
Leads department-defined projects from conception through implementation. Defines process requirements to implement more effective business processes and for the solutions to business problems. Assists in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures that ensure practical and efficient business operation.

Applies independent judgment, discretion and analysis in coordinating, developing and designing computerized information systems solutions for business problems to meet expanding or changing business requirements
Position Requirements:
Equivalent Education Level Required -- B.S. Degree in Accounting.
Experience Required -- Should have at least 4-6 years experience in Accounting and HR / Payroll background with strong orientation towards process and continuous improvement.
Desirable experience – Project management, documenting of functional specifications, flowcharting processes and creating queries.
Knowledge Required -- Applies extensive knowledge as a generalist or specialist with working expertise of all job functions within Payroll and HR.
Desirable skills/traits – Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing. Analytical and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, Access. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 98, 2000, NT and XP Operating Systems. Knowledge of AS/400 Mid Range system. Ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience. Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Change agent. Detail oriented.

Equal Pay Act Range: Annual Salary Range $42,500 to $62,900 Plus Benefits and Incentive Plans.
