Role Description The Payroll Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Tempe, AZ. This role is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, including collecting and verifying timekeeping data, entering and updating employee records, and ensuring accurate and timely payroll runs. Day-to-day tasks include administering payroll taxes, managing garnishments and other payroll-related deductions, reconciling payroll reports, and responding to payroll inquiries from team members. The Payroll Specialist will work closely with HR and Finance to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, support audits, and help improve payroll procedures and services. This role also involves maintaining confidential records, troubleshooting discrepancies, and providing clear, professional communication to internal stakeholders.\n

- Strong skills in Payroll Administration and Payroll Processing, including managing end-to-end payroll cycles.

- Experience with Payroll Taxes and Payroll Services, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.

- Knowledge of Garnishments and related deductions, with the ability to accurately apply court orders and regulatory requirements.

- Proficiency with payroll software and HRIS systems; advanced skills in Excel and general financial/reporting tools.

- Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to reconcile complex payroll data and resolve discrepancies.

- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused approach to supporting employees and internal teams.

- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and adhere to data privacy and security standards.

- Experience in a similar payroll or accounting role; familiarity with consulting or project-based environments is a plus.
