Job Details

The Payroll Analyst will be responsible for processing payroll from start to finish while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution. This role works closely with operations and accounting teams to review employee time records, allocate labor costs appropriately, and support payroll-related reporting.

The ideal candidate will have experience processing payroll in environments with hourly employees, labor tracking, and project-based cost allocation.

Responsibilities
Process weekly payroll accurately and on time
Review and audit employee time records for completeness and accuracy
Enter and maintain payroll data within the payroll system
Verify labor allocations, cost codes, and project tracking information
Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable payroll regulations
Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies
Maintain payroll records and supporting documentation
Assist with payroll reporting, audits, and special projects
Partner with accounting and operations teams on payroll-related matters
Support process improvement initiatives within payroll functions

Qualifications
5+ years of payroll processing experience
Experience managing payroll from start to finish in-house
Strong understanding of labor tracking, job costing, or cost code allocation
Experience reviewing manual timecards or timekeeping records
Knowledge of payroll laws and compliance requirements
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll software systems
Excellent communication and organizational skills
