Payroll Tax Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team as a Payroll Tax Accounting Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for a broad range of accounting support, focusing on multi-state payroll taxes.Responsibilities Process timely and accurate payroll tax returnsOversee all facets of multi-state payroll tax payment processing, tax return preparation, and payroll tax reporting compliancePrepare tax returns and invoice adjustments to collect discrepancies from the clientKeep abreast of current tax laws to ensure complianceAssist customers with tax registrationsResolve tax issues and communicate with clientRequest abatement of penalty with state agenciesReconcile tax related general ledger accounts and journal entriesPrepare and maintain all payroll tax related files weekly and quarterlyPerform account analysis, reconciliations and year end W-2 processesConvert clients to new state agent websitesPerform other duties as assigned such as special projects and researchQualifications 2 - 5 years of experience with payroll tax filings and complianceHigh school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferredMust have excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and ExcelExcellent interpersonal and teamwork skills requiredExperience with payroll tax software a plus#J-18808-Ljbffr
