Job Title: Payroll Tax Analyst
Pay: $65,000 - $72,000 per year
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 am – 5 pm

What You'll Do
As the Payroll Tax Analyst, you will be responsible for:

• Processing payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Reconciling payroll-related general ledger accounts and verifying entries and adjustments are correctly recorded
• Reviewing payroll data to identify discrepancies, spot trends, and suggest process improvements
• Collaborating with HR to maintain precise employee records, compensation, and benefits information
• Preparing payroll forecasts, financial reports, and key metrics to aid budgeting and decision-making
• Staying current with multistate payroll regulations, including requirements for new jurisdictions
• Ensuring payroll expenses are properly allocated and compliant with applicable laws and regulations

What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• At least one year of hands-on experience supporting payroll tax functions, including filings and compliance
• A solid accounting foundation with strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Experience reviewing and balancing payroll records, along with preparing year-end tax documents such as W-2s
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, management, and external contacts
• Familiarity with MasterTax or comparable payroll tax processing platforms
• Proven ability to produce accurate reconciliations, financial records, and payroll reports
• Working knowledge of multistate payroll requirements, including establishing payroll accounts in new jurisdictions
