Payroll Tax Analyst (Temporary - Multiple Openings)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, standard business hours
Location: Hybrid (Woodlands area)

CornerStone Professional Placement is seeking Payroll Tax Analysts (Temporary) for an urgent, high-priority initiative with a growing organization in the Houston area.

This is a high-volume, hands-on role supporting payroll tax operations across multiple entities. We are looking for professionals who can step in quickly and independently handle tax notices, reconciliations, and compliance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investigate and resolve tax notices end-to-end, including communication with federal and state agencies
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll tax filings (daily, quarterly, annual)
• Reconcile 941, 940, and W-3 filings and resolve discrepancies
• Analyze payroll and tax data to identify and correct issues
• Communicate with clients and internal teams via phone and email
• Support multi-state payroll tax compliance

Requirements:

• 3-5+ years of payroll tax experience
• Experience with tax notice resolution and agency interaction
• Experience with 941/940/W-3 reconciliations
• Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations
• Experience in multi-state payroll environments
• Proficiency with payroll systems (Workday, ADP, UKG, etc.) and Excel
