Payroll Tax Consultant

Rezult continues to make great strides toward enhancing the financial community nationwide. We are consistently looking for qualified professionals to join us in achieving success. Currently we are searching for a Payroll Tax Consultant to fulfill an immediate 2-month need.




This individual will be responsible for:

• Lead cleanup and remediation of outstanding payroll tax matters across multiple state and local jurisdictions.
• Review existing tax accounts and independently assess filing, payment, reconciliation, and account closure requirements.
• Perform multi-state payroll tax reconciliations, including researching historical discrepancies between payroll records, tax filings, payments, and agency balances.
• Prepare and coordinate historical payroll tax backfilings, amended filings, and corrections.
• Reconcile outstanding tax liabilities, assessments, penalties, interest, credits, and payments.
• Research and respond to federal, state, and local tax agency notices and communicate directly with taxing authorities to resolve account discrepancies and filing requirements.
• Maintain detailed documentation and reporting of account status, agency correspondence, outstanding requirements, actions taken, and resolution progress

We are actively speaking with applicants that have a minimum of:

• 5+ years of payroll tax experience
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related
• Experience with UKG or Engage PEO is a plus
