Our client, a well-established organization in the construction industry, is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to support weekly payroll processing for a large, multi-state workforce. This role requires hands-on experience with certified payroll, prevailing wage compliance, and union payroll environments.

Responsibilities

  • Process weekly payroll for a large employee population, including time entry, job costing, and payroll reporting

  • Ensure compliance with prevailing wage and certified payroll (WH-347) requirements

  • Handle union and non-union payroll, including wage rates, fringes, and deductions

  • Reconcile payroll data and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner

  • Utilize payroll systems (ADP or similar) for processing and reporting

  • Analyze payroll data using Excel (Pivot Tables required, VLOOKUPs preferred)

  • Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure audit-ready documentation

  • Partner with HR, Accounting, and Operations to resolve payroll and timekeeping issues

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of construction payroll experience

  • Experience with certified payroll and prevailing wage (REQUIRED)

  • Experience with union and non-union payroll (REQUIRED)

  • Experience supporting large payrolls (300-500+ employees)

  • Proficiency in ADP or similar payroll systems

  • Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables required, VLOOKUPs preferred)

  • High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Stable work history preferred

Pay Details: $28.00 to $31.00 per hour
