SUMMARY
Provides support for students, faculty, staff, and external constituents by resolving hardware, software, and network issues. Responds to requests with a commitment to customer satisfaction, quality, and accuracy. Effectively provides appropriate referrals to other service areas. Performs related service functions that support department operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provides campus level technical network support while serving as an on-going technical resource.
- Provides expert diagnostics and maintenance of computer hardware, software, and network issues.
- Supports software, hardware, network, and peripheral devices in the academic unit; software shall encompass operating systems, antivirus programs, network software, clients, and server and academic programs.
- Assists in administrating fixes and design modifications to workstations and printers or other peripherals existing as components to the academic computing network.
- Performs regular cleaning and upkeep of computers, printers, and surrounding work spaces in the Learning Commons and campus computer classrooms/labs.
- Monitors supplies, maintains inventories, and ensures timely inspection, repair of computers and printers.
- Provides supervisory oversight of tasks related to Desktop Technician duties regarding training of new software, asset inventory, hardware refresh, and helpdesk ticket SLAs.
- Creates and updates internal supported system documentation.
- Anticipates and meets all customer needs accurately, professionally, and with a commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
