We are currently looking for 1-1 for a 6th grade student in an Autistic Classroom. This would do until the end of the year with a possibility of ESY .

This is a full-time position. The aide would follow the full school day schedule: 8:45a-3:45p.

We are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Special Education Aide to support a 6th grade student in an Autistic Support classroom. This is a full‑time position running through the end of the current school year, with the possibility of Extended School Year (ESY) employment.

Position Details

• Schedule: 7:45-2:45, following the full school day
• Setting: Autistic Support classroom, 6th grade
• Status: Full‑time, school‑year role with potential ESY extension

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support to a 6th grade student throughout the school day
• Assist with academic tasks, classroom participation, and following routines
• Support the student’s behavioral, social‑emotional, and communication needs under teacher guidance
• Implement accommodations, prompts, and reinforcement strategies as directed by the classroom teacher and special education team
• Ensure the student’s safety, engagement, and independence across classroom, transitions, and specials
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to maintain a consistent support plan

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Experience working with students with autism or special needs
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to follow teacher direction, maintain professionalism, and support a structured learning environment
• Patience, reliability, and strong communication skills
