About the Role:
ComForCare Home Health Care (North San Diego) is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join our growing team in San Diego, CA. Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients in their home environment
- Help with mobility assistance, transfers, and ambulation as needed
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding according to client dietary needs and preferences
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, cleaning, and tidying living spaces
- Assist with medication reminders and monitor client health and well-being
- Transport clients to appointments, errands, and social activities as needed
- Document and communicate any changes in client condition to supervisors promptly
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a PCA, HHA, CNA, or in a similar caregiving role preferred
- Genuine compassion, patience, and a client-centered approach to care
- Ability to assist with physical tasks including lifting and transferring clients
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus
