We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Electronic Components Material Specialist / Kitting Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the receipt, storage, inventory control, and precision kitting of electronic components, printed circuit boards (PCBs), and related materials in a high-reliability manufacturing environment. You will play a crucial role in maintaining inventory accuracy, lot traceability, and ESD safety standards while keeping production lines running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and document incoming electronic components, raw materials, and assemblies against purchase orders and packing slips.
Pull, kit, and stage electronic components and PCBs for production work orders with strict attention to bill of materials (BOM) specifications.
Process daily inventory transactions, stock movements, and material receipts in the ERP system to maintain 100% record accuracy.
Accurately label, store, and track components by lot numbers, date codes, and heat numbers to ensure full material traceability.
Enforce Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) handling protocols and moisture-sensitive level (MSL) storage standards to protect sensitive components.
Inspect incoming and stored goods for damage or quantity mismatches; document and escalate issues to procurement and quality control promptly.
Qualifications & Requirements
High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or certifications in Supply Chain, Materials Management, or Electronics a plus.
Minimum 2+ years of hands-on materials handling, inventory control, or kitting experience within an electronics manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience using ERP/MRP inventory systems and basic Microsoft Excel.
Demonstrated knowledge of ESD protection guidelines and component handling practices.
Ability to lift up to 35–50 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, and perform fine manual dexterity tasks.
Preferred Skills
Experience with MSL (Moisture Sensitivity Level) component handling and baking procedures.
IPC-A-610 or IPC/WHMA-A-620 inspection awareness.
Prior experience in a fast-paced, high-mix/low-volume manufacturing setting.
