The PCB Conformal Coating Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining automated conformal coating equipment to protect printed circuit board assemblies from moisture, dust, chemicals, and temperature extremes. This role requires careful attention to detail, adherence to quality standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and run conformal coating machines per production orders, production reports, and engineering specifications.Load and unload PCB assemblies into coating equipment, ensuring proper fixturing and masking of designated areas.Monitor coating thickness, coverage, and cure using IPC standards and inspection equipment (UV lamp, mil gauge, SPC tools).Perform routine machine maintenance including cleaning nozzles, purging lines, and replacing consumable components.Mix, handle, and store conformal coating material in accordance with SDS and company safety policies.Identify and document non-conformances; perform touch-up or rework as directed by process engineers.Maintain on-time completion of production orders by utilizing completion dates of orders.Support continuous improvement initiatives and report equipment issues to maintenance/process engineer promptly.Maintain a clean, organized workstation.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED equivalent.5+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing or machine operation.Ability to read and interpret production orders, bills of materials (BOMs), and process documentation.Basic computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment for data entry and running the machine.Familiarity with ESD-safe handling practices.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.High level of productivity with minimal supervisionAbility to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs. Preferred QualificationsIPC-A-610 or IPC-CC-830 certification.Experience with PVA or similar coating platforms.Knowledge of conformal coating materialsFamiliarity SDS/MSDS documentation and lean manufacturing principles.Experience with soldering rework or PCB assembly a plus.Working ConditionsProduction floor environmentClimate-controlled ESD-protected area.Overtime as required per company policy
