Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Secure Embedded Systems department (5327) is seeking a motivated electronics engineer to support state-of-the-art printed circuit board (PCB) layout for large multi-disciplinary programs critical to national security. The successful candidate will support a team in the design, development, test, and deployment of novel embedded computing solutions. The successful candidate will have a background in, and understanding of, printed circuit board layout, test, and debug.The Secure Embedded Systems department focuses on the development of secure and resilient computing solutions critical for national

 

You will work alongside world-class experts and use your skills in the following areas:

• Layout of custom, state of the art PCBs
• PCB test and debug
• Team with PCB Designers, firmware, and software engineers to create embedded computing solutions.

• Due to federal contract security requirements, candidates must be able to successfully pass a federal background investigation to secure and maintain DOE Q security clearance if required.

• Experience and understanding with printed circuit boards.

 

Preferred Qualifications and Location Details

• Certified Interconnect Designer (CID) Certification
• Certified Interconnect Designer Advanced (CID+) Certification
• Certified Printed Circuit Designer (CPCD) certification
• Experience with high-layer-count stack-ups (18+ copper layers)
• Experience with PCB layout, testing, and debugging for applications involving state-of-the-art FPGAs, high speed, and large memory
• Experience routing signals with high-speed data-rates (5+ gb/s)
• Experience routing modern memory topologies (DDR4/5)
• Experience with fine design features (3 mil trace & space)
• Active DOE Q clearance
• Contract Duration 1-2 years
• Onsite position
