    Role Summary

We are seeking a PCB Design Engineer to support printed circuit board and circuit card assembly design for high-reliability aerospace and defense electronics.

This role is responsible for PCB layout, schematic capture, component placement, routing, design documentation, and manufacturing release support for rigid, flex, and rigid-flex board designs.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop PCB and circuit card assembly designs from concept through manufacturing release.
    • Create and maintain PCB layouts, CCA drawings, schematic drawings, and supplier documentation.
    • Perform schematic capture, component placement, trace routing, and layout updates.
    • Generate manufacturing outputs, including Gerber files, ODB++ data, and related release documentation.
    • Support rigid, flex, and rigid-flex board design activities.
    • Work on new designs, re-spins, drawing updates, change notices, copper changes, and design improvements.
    • Use PCB design and documentation tools such as Siemens Xpedition, BluePrint-PCB, or similar platforms.
    • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, components, test, and producibility engineering teams.
    • Ensure board designs meet performance, cost, manufacturability, cycle time, and producibility requirements.
    • Support design reviews, documentation updates, and release activities throughout the PCB lifecycle.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field.
    • 5+ years of PCB design, layout, circuit card design, or hardware development experience.
    • Experience with PCB, PWB, and CCA design principles.
    • Hands-on experience with rigid, flex, or rigid-flex board layouts.
    • Experience with schematic capture, component placement, routing, and design documentation.
    • Familiarity with PCB manufacturing data, supplier documentation, and release processes.
    • Understanding of manufacturability, producibility, and design-for-manufacturing considerations.
    • U.S. Citizenship required.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Active Secret clearance.
    • Siemens Xpedition / Mentor Graphics experience.
    • BluePrint-PCB documentation experience.
    • Strong background in PCB layout, constraint management, routing, and library usage.
    • Experience generating Gerber, ODB++, or other manufacturing release files.
    • Familiarity with DFM, DRC, Valor NPI, or similar producibility tools.
    • RF PCB layout experience.
    • High-speed design layout experience.
    • Experience with aerospace, defense, missile, avionics, or other high-reliability electronics.
    • Experience supporting design reviews, board re-spins, engineering changes, or supplier documentation.
