PCB Electronics Assembler
Location: Moorpark, CA
Pay Rate: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Monday-Thursday | 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM (4/10 Work Schedule)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
ITAR Requirement: Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

Johnson Service Group is partnering with a leading manufacturer in Moorpark, CA to identify a skilled Mechanical Assembler. This position supports the assembly of high-quality electro-mechanical products, enclosures, subassemblies, and integrated systems used in advanced commercial, aerospace, defense, and industrial applications.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a manufacturing environment, interpreting assembly documentation, and performing detailed mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly work while maintaining high quality standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assemble mechanical and electro-mechanical products, subassemblies, and finished systems using hand and power tools
  • Install hardware including screws, rivets, standoffs, brackets, hinges, and other fastening components
  • Perform cable routing, wire dressing, harness installation, and cable management
  • Assemble sheet metal enclosures, chassis, cabinets, and rack-mounted systems
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings, blueprints, work instructions, and Bills of Material (BOMs)
  • Verify component identification, orientation, and fit prior to assembly
  • Perform mechanical fitting, alignment, adjustments, and minor rework as needed
  • Utilize measuring equipment including calipers, scales, torque drivers, and other inspection tools
  • Complete manufacturing travelers, work orders, and production documentation accurately
  • Follow ESD, ISO 9001, AS9100, quality, and ITAR compliance requirements
  • Inspect completed assemblies to ensure workmanship and conformance to specifications
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly experience
Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
Experience using hand tools, power tools, torque drivers, drills, rivet guns, and measuring equipment
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment

Preferred Skills & Certifications
  • PCB  assembly experience
  • Rack integration and system-level assembly
  • Basic soldering experience is a plus
  • Mechanical troubleshooting and rework experience
  • Experience supporting prototype, low-volume, and production builds
  • Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and manufacturing quality standards
  • Experience within aerospace, defense, electronics, or contract manufacturing environments
  • Manual dexterity for detailed assembly and inspection tasks
  • Ability to work with small components and precision assemblies
  • Ability to perform repetitive assembly functions while maintaining quality standards
